Let Flesh Touch Flesh

LET FLESH TOUCH FLESH
©Trev Teasdel July 1973 Coventry

We’re just friends,
That’s where it ends
She’s not my girlfriend,
She’s not my lover
But we love each other.

Chorus

Let flesh touch flesh
Let hands touch hands
Let lips caress
We’re soul in soul.

The pangs of everyday
Situations just wash away
On the tides of time
Our love will always rhyme
And we love each other.

Our lovers may come and go
But our special love
Is on an endless flow
Time will say it’s so
And we love each other.

There are a few version of this - I did one on guitar and one on keyboards but this is a 2025 version by Mira and the Magnetic Ghosts.

And this is the same version but on Reverbnation.

....
I wrote this in 1973, sat on the grass near the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum Coventry, with Johnny Adams - guitarist with Fission and later Squad playing our songs on guitars - a young lady from the Lanchester Poly came over and sang Winter lady by Leonard Cohen while I played the chords. She challenged me to write a song about platonic relationships as she didn't think there were many of them. I wrote it on guitar but in 2025 i did a new digital version here.
